This is not a sports class. This is a sports school. 
S4UA’s Sports Academy will be the nation’s first dedicated academy designed specifically for children and young adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities — a full-time, structured training centre where athletes learn sport skills, compete, gain vocational experience and build real pathways to work and independence. 

Our Academy will turn idle hours into purposeful training, competition and employable skills — from learning to sprint to supporting an event as a ball-boy or gym assistant. It’s sport, schooling and livelihood training under one roof. 

Who It’s For: 

• Children & young adults (8-25 yrs) with Autism, ADHD, Down syndrome, Cerebral Palsy, GDD and other IDDs 

• School-going students who need focused sports education beyond the classroom 

• Young adults seeking vocational pathways tied to sports operations and fitness 

Why an Academy (the problem we solve): 

Most children with IDD spend long hours in classrooms with limited skill-building options. There are few structured, consistent sports pathways that lead to achievement or jobs. The Academy fixes that by delivering daily training, targeted skill development, competition exposure and vocational training — so these children don’t just pass time, they build futures. 

Core Offerings / Curriculum: 

1. Multi-Sport Training
   Daily coaching in athletics (sprints, long jump), football, basketball,badminton, table-tennis and adaptive games — with progressive skill ladders. 
2. Sport-Specific Skill Blocks
   Technical drills, game-sense, rules, positioning, and role-based practice for each sport.
3. Strength & Conditioning
   Age-appropriate strength work, balance, mobility and injury-prevention routines.
4. Competition Pathway
   Structured ladder from academy meets → district events → state meets → Special Olympics Bharat representation.
5. Vocational & Event Skills
   Practical, hands-on roles: event setup, equipment handling, ball-boy training, gym assistance, scoreboard & ushering — real tasks that lead to entry-level jobs in sports and events.
6. Life-Skills & Routine
   Punctuality, teamwork, following instructions, personal care, and workplacebehavior modules. 
7. Education Bridge
   Light academic support focused on functional literacy and numeracy relevant to jobs (timing, counting, simple record-keeping).
